Bump Please can we have some word on this. I specifically upgraded ny original Iyonix graphics card because it didn't have enough memory for Geminus accelaration to have any noticable effect on my usual 2048x1536x32bpp desktop. Unfortunately my nice new card with heaps of memory does not work at al...

Any offical comment on this?

I am not happy that Geminus provides any real worth when using 2048x1536 mode screens with the original 32MB graphics card, and I'd like to know if this is being addressed.

Cheers

Geminus and resetting the graphics driver

Is there any procedure for RMReinit'ing the NVidia module when Geminus is active? Currently this seems to hang the machine. It would best if Geminus could cope with NVidia being reinitialised without further action, but if its necessary to kill Geminus and reload it after, that would be acceptible. ...

The last number - range 01F00000 - shows that you have a 32MB card which means that, combined with your large 1600 x 1200 x 16M screen mode, you're seeing a weakness of the cache management rather than a fault as such. As you noted it does cache properly, but only under specific circumstances, maki...

The main gripe for me is that the one operation which is slow in Photodesk, isn't helped by Geminus - the redrawing of the selection when cut and paste mode is in use with a fairly large selection. It seems to be the dotted outline used for rectangular or irregular selections is increably slow to re...

I hope this will be extended to all customers to allow them to register one or more test machines.

Neil, unlike the aemulor, geminus and chino consumer products, Desk Debug is aimed at developers and you have to take in to account how developers work, or they wont buy it, which will be shame. I don't know of many (except perhapse yourself) who are making enough money from RISC OS to justify multi...

Protection and multiple machines

Neil, unlike your other products there is a huge problem tying DeskDebug to a single machine. We've got multiple versions of the OS we have to support (3.x, 4.0x, Select/Adjust, 5.x), so need to be able to debug on a range of development machines. I'm certainly not willing to buy a copy for each mac...

"Memory cannot be moved" is an old favourite of mine, it occurs when you try to grow a dynamic area beyond its limit (or shrink below zero), incase thats any help to Adrian.

Ah well I'll just have to wait until they bring out an enhanced model with a resolution of 4096x2560. Thanks for the reply.

Will it be possible for Geminus to support ulta high resolution LCD monitors? Such as the IBM T221 and Viewsonic VP2290b , which are 22.4" widescreen LCDs running at 3840x2400. They are driven as either four 1920x1200 or in the case of the IBM two 1920x2400 displays. Incidentally prices are around ?...
