Re: Aemulor Pro 2.32 fails on Iyonix under RISC OS 5.20

At the RISC OS London show on 26 October, Messrs Lees and Spellings were on hand, making a very welcome return. They indicated that there was now an upgrade to their Iyonix Aemulor Pro 2.32 to render it compatible with RISC OS 5.20, and that this upgrade was already available online. Please let us ...

Aemulor Pro 2.34 also fails on Iyonix under RISC OS 5.20

I have installed Aemulor 2.34 (upgrade from 2.32) and done the 5.20 Iyonix upgrade (from 5.18).

No luck, I get an abort on Data transfer when starting Publisher.

TableMate and DiagramIt have a similar problem.

The problem is that they ARE listed in the Aemulor window! What's more, the modules are listed as being loaded into Aemulor! It seems the problem is connected with the apps being started by Alexander Thoukydides` !DeskStart utility, as if I single step this and then manually load the apps everything...

LanMan98 Problem

Loading LanMan98 is OK. It appears under OmniClient OK. However, attempting to log onto a share with it gives an error message 'SWI &52680 not known'.

Iconiser/BubbleHelp (same problem)

Both Iconiser and BubbleHelp suffer from a similar problem under AemulorPro 2.30, which they did not suffer from under the 2.21 version. They load a support module from their !Run file and then the next line tests if the module has been loaded. This test always fails, although if it is commented out...

Impression Publisher files with graphics

I cannot get Impression Publisher files with graphics in them to load properly - the whole app freezes, but may at least be killed by alt-break. If no part of the page has yet been seen, it is possible to set the option to hide graphics, and then the file will display OK (but without graphics). The ...

AAsm (solved - sort of)

I have just discovered that AAsm is now redundant, as ObjAsm has a facility (ObjAsm -ABS) to be AAsm compatible. There are just 2 remaining problems: 1) ObjAsm -ABS is not 100% the same as Aasm, so sources need to be converted. 2) I am still curious as to why a simple command line object like Aasm c...

AAsm

I am trying to run the Acorn AAsm under a task window, but it crashes the machine. I have put AAsm into the Aemulor list. It is a pretty old 26 bit console-type application, with no fancy wimp stuff. Any ideas why it fails, and/or whether this is something which is fixable in a later release?
